The Patriot

All my close buddies know that besides my numerous imperfections I am a very honest person (not boasting). My message throughout this world cup has been simple.... I don't see why our players should earn those astronomical amounts at the expense of the very reason why the world cup was organised. The country received enough money in 2006 & this year 2010 to be able to improve football facilities in the country but nothing like that has ever happened. We have parks/stadiums in most parts of the country that look like ruins from ancient civilizations. Swedru, Ho, Sekondi, Tarkwa just to mention a few. Football & for that matter sports could provide livelihoods for people but all we care about is playing international competitions. Afterall that's where some officials get their “chobbo” huh!!!!
People normally think about how the international media would pour praises on the team if they do well but one thing is for sure when anyone decides to answer a duty call for the nation it's an honour & nothing else... it's doesn't mean get rich in a twinkle of an eye... I know we are being surrounded by corruption all over... but do we say it's everywhere so we should keep quiet?? I for one will lead a crusade here on that will to open the eyes of those who have not seen beyond the normal. People have removed me from their friends list on Facebook because they can't handle the truth. I know that deep down in most people's heart what I am saying is true but they just don't want to care.... No country is perfect but ours is on different level koraaaaa!!!
