The First

Greetings to all Internet savvy Ghanaians.I have decided to blog on Ghanaian issues because I have realised that most of us have now discovered the magic of the Internet. The number of Ghanaians on Facebook alone is just staggering. My blog will basically be centered around local issues. My aim is to raise some kind of awareness about things that affect us directly.

First on my list is about movies. We always boast that real African movies were started by us but Nigeria took it to a different level and we had to reorganise ourselves before we got a share of the market.

During the reorganisation one could see that there were some forms of similarities between Nigerian and Ghanaian movies but as time went by the difference became a little bit clearer. Sparrow Productions have done a lot for the movie industry and I have a feeling they are going to improve. Here are some of the few kinks that I have seen in the movies. Most of the movies have great stories but the acting itself sometime raises some questions. You see actors and actresses sometime trying to do too much therefore letting the idea of acting breakdown eventually. Majid Michel is one person who tends to do just too much.

Another problem I see a lot is the costume they use, most of the time its too expensive and does even fit the scene. Imagine two people clad in brand new GTP or some other material with a smashing style chatting in a living room after which they go nowhere. Normal Ghanaians would not put on such expensive cloths and just sit at a hall and chat. These things could be done in a way that would reflect our lifestyle.

I would like to hear from readers what they think about my views here. Keep reading this blog!!
